Oftentimes couture beauty looks seen on the catwalk are just too risky to pull off, but the real beauty of playing with colors and hair is that when you do, you are unforgettable. |

Fairy Pink Lips: We’ve seen a lot of rich reds this season, but let’s not forget the pink. Pretty lips in pink have a youthful flirtiness to them. Keep eyes simple, going bare or minimal mascara with a touch of liner. Kiss your lips with semi-matte Schiap by Nars or for a more subtle use of pink, go with the sheer in Venice. ($23 each) |

Midnight Blue Eyes: The smoky eye goes blue and the rest of the face pales, making eyes pop. With a mix of pencil and shadow, achieve this look by lining upper and lower outer lids with pencil. We love Prestige Midnight Blue retractable pencil (2/$7.48)—it lasts long and goes on smooth. Make Up For Ever’s Navy Blue and Metallic Midnight Blue ($18 each) are matte and shimmery, respectively, to create a great mix to play with the light. Shimmer at ends and under eye. Using blue instead of black, the smoldering eye will look bigger and more mesmerizing. |

Extended Color: All-over shadow can extend if the color is right, and this trio from Benefit ($28) gives you three choices to take this runway look to a night on the town. These sparkling eye powders feature mint julep (golden aqua), powder puff (pink champagne), and miss moon (white gold). Set face with your foundation first, even on lids. Lips can get a light gloss, but choose a color and brush on all over top to brow, extending out as far as you dare. |

Underlined In Black: Most focus on upper lids, but let’s not forget the bottom. Dramatic black underlined eyes extend out for an update on the Jackie O look. Mascara balances out the top, and for the bottom, Jemma Kidd’s Stay Put Eyeliner in Pitch ($18) is water- and smudge-proof so you won’t have to worry about the color straying from where it belongs. |
