For those of you who have known Shecky’s for a while, you probably remember a time when we weren’t all about Girls Night Out and Goodie Bags.
But for most of our website newbies and ladies outside of New York City who didn’t read the long history…did you know Shecky’s got its start years ago with one small book? Founded by (a guy!), Chris Hoffman, a Wall Street trader with a limitless bar allowance and curiosity for what women want (right…), Shecky’s got its start as Shecky’s Bar, Club & Lounge Guide in 1998. Fast-forward to today and Sheckys.com has evolved into the go-to destination for fun events, experiences, and content for women and their girlfriends. But as a tribute to where Shecky’s got its start, Sheckys.com also re-launches with SheckysNightlife.com for all our diehard New York City nightlife fans. SheckysNightlife.com offers an extensive and easy-to-use nightlife guide—yep, an online version of the very same Shecky’s Bar, Club & Lounge Guide Chris Hoffman started in 1998.
