Mixing up retro-reconfigured favorites and inspiration from urban culture, the Chocolate Bar offers a large range of sweets alongside delicious coffee at their West Village location and food at their Henri Bendel shop.

This chocolate boutique and dessert café serves wine and coffee. You can order confections from the on-site award-winning Chocolatier Fritz Knipschildt, and even sample homemade brownies and freshly made ice cream.

Showing off her skills and love of chocolate making, Kee prepares some of the most delicious confections we’ve ever had. Using ingredients from around the world, Kee makes chocolates (and famous macaroons) in the shop six days a week and sells them super fresh from her store next door.

Cocoa V needs to be in this list. They also stand out by using only fair trade, organic chocolate, a nice touch for certain valentines.

I can't believe you left out City Bakery (West 18th Street between 5th & 6th Avenues). They're havinng a Hot Chocolate Festival all through the month of February. I went down there last week to check it out. Paid $7.00 for a cup of hot chocolate and a chocolate chip cookie, but it was SOOOOOOO worth it! :)
