There's no sign here—just a door that blends into a wall of graffiti. Ever so quietly tucked away below street level sits 151, a Lower East Side dive of a basement den straight out of 1976. Beaded curtains offer a flimsy guard for amorous couples, and the bare floor doesn't quite match the mod-revival wallpaper (no shag carpeting?). But with a generous 6pm-10pm two-for-one happy hour, who really cares? Besides, the dim corners are ripe for dark deeds (wink!). It's mostly an after hours scene, so nix the alarm clock, button up in your Lower-East finest, and join the slouched, mussed-hair regulars and rock-inflected DJs. Open Sun.-Fri. 6pm-4am and Sat. 7pm-4am.
