Catering to the lush inside all mamas and papas, Mexican restaurant-slash-“margarita garden” 5 Burro Cafe combines a Brooklynite’s two most prominent obsessions: bar patios and babies. The laid-back atmosphere of this backyard haven means no judgment when your kid starts eating sand—which is lucky since you won't be all that attentive after testing out one or two of the frozen margs (there are eight flavors in all, $8). Cut the rugrats loose and join your reproductively-disinclined pals in a big-kid game—Bocce ball courts and big screen TVs entertain all ages long past bedtime, and the super-friendly staff keep the drinks coming. While the décor is fun and cheesy, the food is more authentic than most East Coast joints; try the enchiladas topped with mole sauce ($10), or the tasty fish tacos ($10). This spot will likely become packed as word spreads, but its off-the-beaten-path waterfront locale means that at least for now, scoring a picnic table is as easy as uno, dos, tres.
