5 Ninth:
There’s a lot to like about 5 Ninth. First off is the landmark building itself. Three floors of rustic charm are complemented by huge black and white rock icon photos and six fireplaces. Exposed brick and unpolished wood round it out. Add to that a backyard space and a series of decks, and this is the house you always wanted. The attractive staff sports sneakers with dress pants. The crowd itself is a well-heeled bunch that knows its way around the huge wine list, but often opts for pricey specialty cocktails. It’s easy to forget that in addition to being a sceney hangout, 5 Ninth is first and foremost a fantastic restaurant where Asian fusion cuisine is the main draw before 10pm. Open Mon.-Wed. 12-11pm, Thu.-Sat. 11am-12:30pm, Sun. 11am-12am.
Came to 5 ninth for the first time on Tuesday night with a group of 5 for dinner. Wish I had come here before. The menu was original and the wine list extensive. The wine selection was excellent. The server was attentive and knowledgeable and we had an overall pleasant experience. Would come back here in a heartbeat. One of my favorite places for a relaxed drink and food with friends.
