Annie Moore's: With a bright cherry-red exterior and gorgeous dark wood paneling, not to mention the fact that it’s directly across from Grand Central Station, you’d think Annie Moore’s would be packed tighter than Richard Simmons’ shorts. How could they miss, with such a great location and standout features? But while this bar doesn’t do anything wrong, it doesn’t necessarily do anything right, either. A long bar that stretches all the way to the rear din-ing room is perfect for commuters stopping in for a quick one on their way home, and plasma-screen TVs are stationed every few feet. This Irish pub serves good brew, includ-ing pints of its own Annie Moore’s Ale on tap, but ultimately it’s about as exciting as the 7:05 train to New Haven. Open Mon.-Fri. 11:45am-midnight, Sat. 11:45am-9pm, Sun. 11:45am-7pm.
