How does this little place survive? It deserves to be around and then some, but in this oversaturated nightlife area where a new hotspot will have popped up before you finish reading this write-up, survival is no easy feat. Sundays here sizzle with a great party where house meets electronic beats and real aficionados know a good DJ from a famous one. Set inside of what fittingly appears to be an apartment building, this bi-level hotspot offers a lower-level bar and a retro upstairs lounge perfect for dates. Unless you bring your own “fun,” the lower level is where you want to be. Sweaty singles bump and grind between wood-paneled walls that give the illusion of a scenester bathhouse. Chalkboards in the bathroom, bartenders in t-shirts, and the presence of a bed make this tossed salad club just quirky enough to stand out from the crowd. Open daily 7pm-4am.
I've been going here for years and the atmosphere never changes. Can be quite posh but worth the exclusivity. Great to come with girlfriends or with your beau of the evening.
