Arctica: Talk about "chill"—Arctica, a polar-themed, and genuinely relaxing, Murray Hill hangout, delivers in both senses of the word. Much like the neighborhood, nothing about the place is particularly chic, but sometimes a girl just wants to go where everybody knows her name. Put another way, if you're expecting a destination for experimental drinks or feelings of self-consciousness about your attire, well, Arctica is the polar opposite. Instead, prepare to always get a seat at this slick, sizable place, and—from the bouncers to the bartenders—you'll never get a cold shoulder from the staff. As for the other Arctic explorers, expect to meet at least a few cute post-college guys. Sure, they're the type who haven't gotten used to doing their own laundry yet, but they're mighty generous with their wallets.
