At Vermilion:
Leggy hostesses in skirt suits man the door at this sleek Midtown restaurant, waiting to welcome lady suits from their long days at the office. After all, owner Rohini Dey, an accomplished businesswoman herself, is all about girl power, and she employs female chefs to head up the grills at this Indian-Latin fusion spot. Come revel in modern America’s equality by lounging on leather couches while the indoor waterfall bubbles in the background. Or take a trip upstairs to indulge in tapas-style dining. There’s a vegetarian menu, of course, for all you calorie-conscious chicas. Or, if the recession is killing you, content yourself with a tamarind margarita and an excellent view of the street. Because isn't it better to be on the inside looking out, not the other way around? Open Mon.-Fri. 11:30am-2:30pm and 5-10pm, Sat.-Sun. 5-10pm.
Loved the food, service, and decor. Drinks are great!

Stopped by with a few friends for drinks. Liked the drinks, interesting offerings like watermelon cilantro and pear chili. Nice vibe. Ordered a few tapas and loved the duck vindaloo and the pani puri. Dinner menu looks expensive, but I think for special occasions it would be a great place to go.

I thought At Vermilion was a very interesting concept. The food was delicious, and the place is lovely. This restaurant is great for midtown because we have nothing else like this in the neighborhood! Can't wait to go back again!

Let me say this that let not the New Yorkers confuse this as an indian restaurant as it is everything but that. Skirt steak for a so called better concept and ribs etc . God save the city from anymore nightmares .Lets hope that Guides like Zagat doesn't put this in the best indian category as it did a similar error a few years back.
