Ayza Wine and Chocolate Bar
Do you go cuckoo for cocoa? Whether it’s chocolate, wine or high-calorie cheese that awakens your inner hedonist, Ayza will have you sinning in no time. Yes, this West Village outpost of the Midtown date spot brings the most feminine of vices downtown, and is ideal for that romantic make-up or an indulgent sess with your stressed-out lady friends. Mix-and-match 3-8 options from various menu categories to chow down on everything from meze to Manchego, or jump on their extensive chocolate options (including fountain-dippers, of course, 8 for $18). Grab your sweetie a chocolate martini (served with a Jacques Torres truffle, $15) or come by on Sunday Couples Night to enjoy a rose-petal-scattered, candlelit table and a complimentary truffle for each of you after the meal. Of course, the dim lighting and cherry wood tables only enhance the feeling that love is in the air, but a center communal table encourages social solo visits, too. Which is great—as long as you’re happy socializing with an entire restaurant full of love birds.

Great place to socialize

I love wine in fact it's all I drink. I have never been a fan of wine bars unless on a date. Ayza somehow has created a full on first class wine bar that has the vibe of a cool local bar/hangout. Great place to socialize, I highly recommend it.

everything was good

Everything here was really good, but I feel like I have to complain about the fact that they charge for bread. I’ve never heard of any place outside of Europe charging for bread. I would’ve given them a perfect 5-stars if it hadn’t been for that.

Great Choice

My girlfriend came here for a girls night and loved it, so she dragged me out for a
couples night. Really nice ambiance here. My only big gripe is that they only have
four entrees (which aren’t really entrees because they are the typical tiny New York
portions). They have over a dozen appetizers, but only four things available for dinner.
Other than that, everything’s good. Had the dark chocolate cake for dessert. It was
really rich, so I’d recommend splitting it.
