Bar 13:
Just hearing the words “rooftop bar” is enough to make us rush out to basically any bar as soon as the weather turns nice. But it’s even better when the bar is actually worth heading out to. Such is the case with 13, where you can sip tasty drinks like the customized 13-ini and get double the pleasure at the two-for-one weekday happy hour. Happier indoors? Head to one of the two lounges every Friday and Saturday, where you can shake your groove thang to various DJs spinning pumping dance tunes. Artistic types will dig the louderMONDAYS open mic reading series, while “American Idol” wannabes on a budget can rock out on Wednesday evenings with no-cover Pattioke (that’s karaoke, in case you didn’t get it). There’s nothing unlucky about 13. Open daily 5pm-4am.
My friend booked a party here for a Friday night and the sign said "closed til 10 pm for private party". When he spoke with management regarding this they told him they had tried to call him all day but his voice mail did not work, they had booked another party that would take up the whole place after promising him tables. This was an absolute lie as he had 0 missed calls. They weren't even apologetic ... this place will not get any of mine or my friends business going forward.

Went there for my birthday, with around 15 friends. We called ahead and they said that we didn't need any special treatment, just to show up. Okay we did that... but I still had the worst party.
First, the ambiance is nothing special. It tries to be trendy but it fails miserably. Its just another typical layout and feel like every other want to be over-priced spot. If you like "girl-talk" and over-tried rap-remixes mixed to terrible non-rap songs on an ibook, then you'll like the music a lot.
The drinks are terrible. I ordered patron shots, and the bar tender said they did not have any left. So I said give me tequila of another brand. She poured a no-brand tequila, we took the shots, then she charged me patron prices: $14.00 a shot.
Then, a fight broke out. Some punk got punched in the face. Next thing I see is the bouncers throw out the kid that got punched in the face (and did not even attempt to throw out the kid who did the punching). On the way out, the bouncers knocked over 2 girls and spilled beer over some customer by the exit.
They also threw the customer who go beer spilled on him out when he went to complain.
911 was called, and the outside swarmed with cops. Many people left because apparently they had fake ID's and thought it was a "raid". I wish I still loved to party with high-school kids with fake ID's.
In the end, this was probably the most shanty bootleg bar I've been to. If you really want a good time, there are 30 other bars in the area where you won't feel like a tool for going.
P.S., most likely all of the post on this site that say good things about this place were written by the staff and friends of the bar.
I would say, when you find a place with bad reviews like this one on the internet, and someone took their time to write it, and there arent huge amounts of good reviews, stay away!!!!

I had my birthday there and it was great. We all had a good time. They were good with helping me with the guest list, the parking was really close and everyone was cool.

Went there last weekend for my 25th bday. Music was good, drinks were good-depending on which bartender. My friends loved the open bar bracelet. It was cold but the roof was covered so it wasnt too bad. Loved that they have general seating so if you are there early enough you can get a spot. I'd definitely go back.

I had my birhday party here. It was great because you can get an open bar, good music, lots of people, the prices are defintely reasonable and the staff is very nice. The only thing is you can get a guestlist for you party but it doesn't actually do anything.

I really enjoy this place, especially now that the weather is nice an u can have a few drinks in the roof top. I've been here a couple of times and always had a generally good time. Went here on a Friday night and the place was packed, The door wasnt pretentious, and the music was good. The rooftop was also a nice escape from the hot and sweaty dance floor. Also the fact that they had a bar set up on the rooftop was also nice.
