Bar 89:
Not since Psycho has there been so much hype about a bathroom. The one at Bar 89 is cool enough, with a Stonehenge-like surrounding and impressive glass doors which fog up once the stall is occupied. But since you can’t—and shouldn’t—eat in the loo, the dining room offers its own eye candy. Modern lighting and airy art deco wall installations keep your eyes busy, while hefty traditional dishes like grilled cheese, Buffalo chicken, and nachos keep your tummy in its comfort zone. The serving size of their mojito is as generous as the heaping portions of food, so come ready to play. Waiters border on rude at times, but with such basic food it’s possible they have to put on airs to meet the SoHo trend quota. Open Sun.-Thu. noon-1am, Fri.-Sat. noon-2am, food until 1am every day.
the bathroom is gimmicky, but cool. i didnt even know about it until the second time i ate there. the foods really good, salads, wraps, burgers, fries, etc. drinks are also great. i like the ambiance, decor, vibe.

a perfect spot for lunch. the food prices equal the high quality food prepared, but drinks lean towards the higher end.
