Bar Blanc Bistro:
The West Village boite was reborn on April 8th as Bar Blanc Bistro, complete with a new bar menu from chef Sebastiaan Zijp, a revamped wine list and a new, cozier design -- think earth tones and burlap curtains -- to complement the cuisine. The intimate space is now warmed with amber lighting, wood paneling and a curved bar. The menu reimagines hors d'oeuvres as bar food, and many plates are $10 and under. The bar has an ample cocktail and microbrew selection, but with over 100 wines by the glass, it's clearly a wine bar at heart.
