The ristorante/bar clearly draws inspiration from its trendy and chic neighborhood and bears a strong similarity to its sister restaurant on 2nd Ave. The cozy spot strives to put its guests at ease as dates sample each others’ artfully prepared dishes and groups of girlfriends gab about life. The drink menu offers ample wines by the glass and specialty cocktails such as Il Verde (cucumber, lime and organic cucumber vodka, $17). But sitting down for a whole meal is highly recommended as Bar Italia boasts a selection of mouthwatering pastas such as the truffle-oil-infused Tagliolini al Tartufo ($26) and fresh fish dishes like the Salmone ai Ferri ($29). Just don’t splatter your sauce or spill your vino—the entire bar is white and pristine!
