BB&R (Blonde, Brunette & a Redhead):
A blonde, a brunette, and a redhead walk into a bar. Seriously! At BB&R you and your friends can debate which bartender has the nicest...hair color. Or just keep your eyes glued to the huge flat screens playing the important games of the night. A shiny new pool table in the back room may entice you to give up your seat, but the Monday through Friday happy hour (6-8pm) will bring you right back. Or was it the bartenders? While some may think there are too many generic bars in the UES, BB&R is a nice change from the bodegas and restaurants that fight for business around here.
I am an event planner and I friend of mine wanted to have a surprise 30th for his GF and her twin sister. He asked that I help set the party up so after researching for a place that would fit what they wanted, I contacted BB&R and they were great from the beginning; Michael Glick and his staff were excellent. Everyone at the party was commenting on how great the party was and that the staff was outstanding. I would highly recommend BB&R for private parties. The UES needs a place like this for us kids in our mid/late 20s. It's more sophisticated but not nearly dark euro or pretentious, as some other places trying to be opposites of the abounding frat bars are. They use nice glasses, not cheap ones, and they have gourmet, healthy pizzas and other sensible menu items. Plus, the pool table is FREE!
