Beachhouse: What was once Jean Luc East and then Prime 103 is now Beachhouse—and you thought the Manhattan nightlife/dining scene was fickle. Opened by Hampton restaurateur Michael Gluckman, the seafood-centric eatery is similar in feel to one of Gluckman’s other ventures, Boathouse, so expect an airy, sun-drenched space, accented with brick walls, lots of blooming flowers and a small indoor pond. Although it boasts ample indoor and outdoor space, the multiple large flat-screens flanking the bar area and the crowd that has been bee-lining to this new-comer can cause the noise level to veer away from the conversational, especially if you're close to the 15-seat bar. Forgot the earplugs? Drown out the noise with the house’s signature $30 Beachbum Margarita for two, which comes made with tequila, fresh-squeezed key limes, agave nectar, and a splash of fresh orange and cranberry juice.
