BeerParc: The outdoor drinking space connected to Sixth Avenue’s Eventi Hotel isn't really a park at all, but it is where the post-work midtown crowd will be parked this summer. Grass or no grass, this block-wide mezzanine of metal tables and potted plants should do just fine. When lacking the energy to deal with one of the hood's ubiquitous hotel roof decks, BeerParc offers a convenient, super-chill spot to sit back, relax, and chug a cold one. A central pool creates a cool breeze on dripping days, which makes watching the Mets game al fresco—projected onto an adjacent building—almost bearable. If the wall-to-wall blinking neon lights bring on space mountain flashbacks, chalk it up to being part of the carnival schtick and go get more drink tickets ($3 each). Who doesn't get all fuzzy and nostalgic over tickets?! Claim your prize at the taps (six drafts, two tickets each) or at one of three vendor carts (Fatty Snack BBQ, wursts from Edi & the Wolf, and thai fried chicken from Soi 29, one-three tickets per item). Just keep back from the wading pool if you hope to be a regular this summer.
