Bierkraft: If you’re buying craft beer in Brooklyn, there’s a good chance the person ringing up your purchase will be skinny, bearded, aloof.... No place exemplifies this better than a tiny beer shop in Park Slope, but luckily, it has a remarkable selection. The hallway-narrow store is stocked with numerous bottled and “Manhattan pricey” obscurities from many of the finest breweries in America and beyond, plus a growler station with 16 drafts from the local likes of Kelso, Greenport Harbor and Captain Lawrence (22 or 64 oz. fills, $6.95 and up). If you’re jonesing too much to wait to get home to imbibe, you can grab a pint ($5-6) and take it to the connected cafe, where you can even snag a nosh. Sandwiches made with a variety of cured meats and cheeses (all $10) and free Zapp’s chips are worth sticking around for, though, with such minimal seating and an oftentimes big crowd, you might never get a chance to try them. Sure, the employees are lackadaisical, but the beer selection and the drink/dine-in feature is anything but, so suck it up!
