Billy Mark's West:
Darts. Pumping jukebox tunes. Cheap beer. What more do ya need, people? Billy Mark’s West is the place to go for all of that, with two dart boards and the chance to shoot some pool while listening to blues and classic rock. There are only two bartenders—aptly named Billy and Mark—who’ll pour you a stiff drink and then treat you like a long-lost family member inside their dark haze of a bar. Maybe the cheap drinks are the reason no one seems to care about the odd smell, occasional flies, and creepy bathrooms. But seriously, sometimes you just want an unpretentious place to grab a drink after work—or before it, as the case may be. And this place definitely fits the bill.

This place doesn't have one redeeming quality! I recently moved to Chelsea from the UES so have been exploring the local bars in my new neighborhood, and boy was I disappointed in this one! Smells awful, disgusting bathrooms, rude clientele, rude service. And if all that wasn't bad enough, when I was there (I'll NEVER go back), some poor girl was verbally assaulted, pushed, and thrown out of the bar for just being gay. Is it not 2010? Are we not in one of the most diverse cities in the world? Is this not CHELSEA?
Don't ever go here, there are too many bars in Manhattan to waste your time with this bigoted dump!

DO NOT SUPPORT BILLY MARKS!!!!!
I beg of anyone that believes in equality to not support this hate filled bar. I recently moved to the neighborhood and stopped by Billy Marks to watch some tv and have a drink. I did not care to really converse but was asked by a few of the patrons if i was in a relationship. I informed them I was indeed with someone of the same sex and all hell broke out. The bartendar and owner (Mark) began to call me a F*** Fagget and told me my kind was not welcomed. He then demanded for me to leave as I sat there alone and cried. When I did not leave fast enough, he pushed me. As I was walking out the door he said don't worry about contacting the police because he was a former NYPD officer. I called the police, and of course they did nothing. One officer told me to read the Constitution because I had no rights. Where I am from, we don't greet our new neighbors with hatred. Please I beg of anyone that may read this, do not support their anti-homosexual establishment!
