Bocca:
Romans—we love their holidays, their religion, and their showers...OK one out of three. Those interested in a Roman holiday but still don’t have a passport (you should have expedited!) can stuff their boccas at Bocca (it means mouth in Italian). Run by the Italian team that also runs the Cacio e Pepe in the East Village and Spiga uptown, Bocca’s slick design nods to the empire with their own Mouth of Truth sculpture, Fellini posters, and Italian cocktails. Try a Negroni Sbagliato with gin and Campari or a Chinotto Cup, the Sicilian version of a Pimm’s Cup made with the Italian's version of Coke (not LiLo's). Munch on antipasti and a hearty selection of cheeses and cured meats. Of course there's a pasta including a Tonnarelli Cacio e Pepe where its tossed in a giant Parmigiano cheese wheel. What are you waiting for? Mangia! You’ve got no place else to go.
A friend and I were visiting from Virginia and enjoyed dinner at Bocca, great atmosphere, delicious food and Neko was the best. Only bad part is I live too far away to dine more often. Highly recommend
