Booker & Dax is a cozy new addition to the Momofuku chain that brings a splash of scientific creativity to concocting the perfect after-work cocktail. By mixing the right ingredients with the right chemicals, the bartenders create beverages well worth the slight wait for 'em. All cocktails are $14, but with a little help from some tools like a centrifuge and hot poker, these bad boys are designed to provide maximum alcohol content...and a big bang for your buck. The Gin and Juice (gin, clarified grapefruit juice) may look like an ordinary drink, but you're sure to be smitten at first sip by how refreshing it is. Whether you're lucky enough to snag a seat at the bar and watch the cocktail creation up close and personal, or find yourself at a table, Booker & Dax delivers in every way. Between the menu of bar-portioned bites in classic Momofuku style (the chicharone jacks, $7, are a house favorite) and aforementioned bevs, it's the perfect place to unwind after a long day when you want the utmost attention—from both the meticulous drink-makers and the so-friendly staff.
