Bowlmor Times Square: Two decades ago, the only people who would be caught dead at a bowling alley were high school geeks and balding men in brown pants. Now, the once-ridiculed game is finally getting the main-stage attention it deserves with Bowlmor Times Square. Two floors, fifty lanes, a restaurant with cuisine by David Burke, and multiple lounge and event areas all honoring our beloved Big Apple, make your grandpa's game of ten-pin almost unrecognizable. Each set of lanes has its own expertly conveyed theme varying from locations (Central Park, the subway) to eras (Art Deco, Pop NY), which come with their own signature cocktail (average, $12). Sip on a Buddha’s Delight (Hanger One Kafir Lime Vodka, Saki, fresh lime juice, pineapple juice, simple syrup) while bowling in Chinatown, or find your way to the Prohibition Lanes for the Maker’s Manhattan (Maker's Mark bourbon, infused with fall flavors, sweet vermouth, Peychaud bitters). With a solid happy hour, burlesque shows on weekends, endless private-party space and the longest bar in the city (80ft!), this Disneyland of bowling is sure to be up anyone’s alley.
