Brady's Bar: Old-school simplicity keeps regulars coming to Brady’s Bar, a no-frills neighborhood favorite for 45 years. The hardwood floors are scuffed, the pool table felt is faded, and the trophies above the bar are tarnished, but the beer is always cold. Weekday happy hour specials include $3.50 Bud and Bud Light drafts and bottles, $3.75 imported bottles, $3 domestic drafts, $4 import drafts, and $4 Guinness. You won’t find plasma screens in here, but games play just the same on two beat-up boxes. Female readers, beware. Ladies’ Night is a non-sequitur here, and if you dare to venture inside you’ll probably get the ol’ stare-down from a bunch of old dudes. But for a manly Budweiser and a game of pool, Brady’s gets it done. |
