Brasserie 1605 @ Crowne Plaza Times Square:
Welcome to Times Square hell: fluorescent hospital lighting, puke carpets, and classy view of M&M's World - with it's IMAX-sized screens of grinning chocolate freaks flashing fast enough to throw kiddies into epileptic seizures. If tourism is your idea of fun, you won't have trouble getting a table next to blue-haired ladies and Midwestern business drones at this God-awful restaurant inside the Crowne Plaza Hotel. The service is friendly enough, but the food is priced for the long-gone, high-rolling era. The All-American or Continental buffets (served from 6:30-11:30 a.m.) are the best buys for your buck. Resist the impulse to grab your garlic rolls, hang them around your neck for safety, and run... Get your money’s worth with the free Tequila Tuesday and Whiskey Wednesday tastings across the lobby at Bar49.
The comment doesnt even talk about the food. You pay for what you get, and i loved our dinner. The view is great- if you dont want to stare at the M&M building just ask to move. The hostess and servers were very accomodating especially since i have an allergy to nuts. My frittata was delicious and my boyfriend loved his Kobe burger and the chocolate cake was great. We consider ourselves foodies and have dined at some amazing restaurants and this place was good. Maybe if the reviewer paid more attention to the food and service instead of thinking of rude things to say about the other diners-maybe they would have enjoyed their dinner more.
