Broadway Joe's Steak House:
Most first-time visitors to Broadway Joe’s aren’t impressed with this Theater District staple’s slow service and run-of-the-mill decorations. And it’s always tough to get excited about a place with an elderly clientele that has aged better than some of their wines. But there’s a reason it’s called a steakhouse, and their fine cuts of meat really do make up for most of their shortcomings. Besides, if you can get a group of more than 10 young hipsters together (and just stick to the surprisingly tasty mixed drinks), the discounts at this already-reasonable place will have you calling this place “above-Average Joe’s.” Just get there early, because Broadway Joe’s—and most of its customers—likes to be in bed before midnight.
