Broadway Lounge:
In addition to inspiring vertigo (when looking up through the open lobby at the myriad of floors in this towering Times Square hotel), the sleekly modern Marriott Marquis has dedicated most of its eighth floor to a plethora of bars and restaurants. Of these, the Broadway Lounge is the place to go to meet up with fellow out-of-towners for a glass of wine (there are only three beers on tap, mind you). With its maroon hues, bright overhead lighting, and jazzy piano players, the Great White Way isn’t so far away. If you’re keen on seeing the billboards of 42nd Street up close, the lounge’s view is par excellence—especially at New Year’s for the ball drop—if you can get a room.
