Tiny tables with umbrellas line a stone mezzanine, offering a seat from which to sip a (plastic) glass of Prosecco ($8) or Pinot Noir ($9). Or, stop off with the whole fam and climb onto the wooden picnic bench, ordering up a lunch of sandwiches ($7-8) and salads ($4-8) to replenish after the requisite stroll over from Manhattan. Even better, make like the geniuses and tell your boyfriend in line at Grimaldi’s that you need to use the ladies—he’ll have barely inched forward, in the time it took you to cool off with a delicious Blood Orange Sangria ($7). |
