Brooklyn Tap House:
Despite beer’s capability to destroy a waistline and elicit belching and flatulence, Brooklyn continues to have somewhat of a love affair with the stuff. The latest manifestation of this is the Brooklyn Tap House. A large, warehouse-style building, it currently stocks over 40 beers on tap, all which are served up in varying sizes at a reasonable $6 a pop. Glasses at the Tap House are adorned with their mascot—a fat monk declaring “No Crap on Tap”, which proves to be a truthful statement, as generic beers are only served up bottled. Food options are typical bar fare listed on a typo-prone menu, with vegan options such as the Vegi Burger ($10) listed alongside the perversely named Pull my Pork ($9). During winter, the large outdoor area is kept useable by a fire-pit, but when warmer weather comes, it will be a summertime sanctuary for beer mavens and local Pratt students who are old enough to get by the doorman.
