It used to be that $7,000 would get you a membership and therefore a reservation to Bruno Jamais. Now, the fee is gone, but it might cost you that much for dinner. Housed in a Victorian-style townhouse, the dining rooms are reached by walking through the wine cellar and are decked out like living rooms. Plush rounded banquettes and low tables are perfect for lounge dining, and mirrors on the back walls provide glimpses of the room and the Forbes’ richest in attendance, at every angle. The menu is contemporary French, with oven-roasted free-range chicken, duck confit with blood orange, and foie gras with a port wine reduction. A late-night menu starts at midnight and includes snack items like pomme frites and tuna tartare. Live music and a DJ make this a fabulous special occasion spot perfect for feeling exclusive.
