If a massive bar pops up on Houston and no one comes, does it make it sound? Yes, at this overly loud (DJ booth!) and overly optimistic (bottle service…in 2011?!) new lounge/after-work spot/pool room. This unfocused venture has pricey cocktails (melon mojito, $12), but a cheapie food menu dominated by wraps brought in from a nearby sister bar (chicken Caesar wrap, $6.45). It’s a nice space—narrow but large, dark and sleek with minimal TVs—and certainly more appealing than several nearby Greenwich Village dives. The back area features a beautiful brand-new pool table, stairs to a small private loft (ideal for that post-work happy hour you’ve been planning), and even an outdoor patio that's set to open once the weather warms. Given time, perhaps Buskers will figure out its vibe and draw the appropriate crowd (or vice versa), for now, take advantage of the empty real-estate on the pool table or a table outside.
