Bussaco: Bussaco is the restaurant Park Slopers have been asking for—elegant, affordable, and attitude-free. The talent roster includes Chef Matthew Schaeffer (Le Bernardin), dessert chef Deb Snyder (Alto), and owner Scott Carney (Gotham), and their experience shows. The wine list is outstanding, but sous chef Kevin Adey’s cocktails, like the Cocorinha (Pirapora Cachaça, coconut water, and lime juice, $12), are an equal joy. Choose from first courses like roast quail breast with foie gras mousse and pickled peaches ($13), and second courses like beef bavette with braised sweetbreads and Yorkshire pudding ($25). The bar menu includes a killer roast pork sandwich ($10). The communal table (hewn from a fallen Prospect Park tree) and 8-seat bar are perfect for a casual bite anytime, so don't let a lack of reservations keep you away. Open Mon.-Thurs., 6pm-11pm, Sat.-Sun., 11am-12am.
