The Midtown East branch of westside Belgian cafe BXL is now open. A true beer lovers’ paradise in a neighborhood that caters to the wine and whiskey crowd. The bartenders are educated about ales and fluent in the language of Lambic. They have 14 brews on tap, including Leffe Blonde and Brune, Duvel Green and Witte. Stronger beers like Gulden Draak (10.5% alcohol) and sweeter favorites like raspberry lambic Lindemans Framboise are also available. The decor is a mix of old New York and a proper Belgian beer house with its tin-foil ceiling. They provide customized glasses for each variety of beer.
