Cabana Bar:
Don't be afraid of the bartender in a Hawaiian shirt and the alarming amount of bamboo and faux thatch at the entrance: Cabana Bar is decorated cleanly and tastefully once you make it through the door. Murals decorate the walls, and the whitewashed furniture seems plucked from Nantucket, not "Hawaii Five-O." Zombies, mai tais and bonfire bowls are still the order of the day here, and there are a few beers on tap. Go during the week when Cabana Bar offers free shots, $3 drinks, and other assorted deals. While few tiki bars serve food worth touching, this one shares a kitchen with pan-Latin restaurant Playa, so the $6 tapas is definitely worth trying. Once the weather gets warmer, the outdoor patio will be open to the sunshine. In the meantime, consider this place your sunshine in a glass. Open Mon.-Thurs. 4:30pm-12am, Fri.-Sat. 4:30pm-2am.
