Fortunately, the similarities end there; Casa La Femme North is a civilized, stylish spot that’s great for a culture-filled date. Pick up a hookah and rent a tent for two in this Middle Eastern delight, where the atmosphere feels thousands of miles removed from its base-of-the-Queensboro Bridge reality. The lounge smells like lilies and sandalwood, and a small bar off to the side is the next best thing to drinking gin and tonics in the Kasbah. Menu items are a bit difficult to pronounce, but the taste isn’t lost in translation. Service can be slow, but the staff is friendly and the atmosphere will be a cool distraction.
