Casimir:
Casimir has all the makings of a French bistro: Antique mirrors above the bar reflect rows and rows of bottles, diners munch on steak frites as drinkers seeking a seat in the lounge plead with an aloof maitre ’d, and mosaic tiles in a doorway evoke an exotic influence. A full bar is embellished with exotic cocktails like the Gloibulga, Mirza, Zebulon, and Polux, and the long list of digestifs, ports, Scotch, and pastis is also impressive; friends and couples of varying ages catch up over drinks in a lounge alongside the bar. A petit jardin (that’s garden, you Yanks) out back is quaint, but only available for diners. The food is decent but the service can be patchy and inattentive. How...French.
I have only been to this place for drinks and I had a good time, but I wouldn't say that I had the time of my life. The bartenders are a little stiff, and so is the crowd. Weekends are usually pretty busy so come on the earlier side if you like a seat.
