Cávo Café Lounge:
Come summertime, when all of Manhattan and Brooklyn makes the trip to Astoria’s Bohemian Hall & Beer Garden for their outdoor drinking fix in some kind of twisted, reverse bridge-and-tunnel pilgrimage, true Astorians can count on Cavo as a classier outdoor drinking alternative. Instead of packing primitive picnic benches and chugging beer, why not sip on cocktails while hotties serve Mediterranean food by the soothing trickle of a fountain? The spectacular multilevel patio is Cavo’s main draw, and it feels like you’ve passed through a portal to L.A. after the unassuming entrance. Throw in Thursday through Saturday DJs and Sunday belly dancers, and you can’t help thinking: All of this is happening here? But Cavo’s management seems a little too cocky. After all, this is Queens, not Hollywood, guys. Are we really paying for the atmosphere? Dinner and drinks sometimes feel overpriced. Still, depressing times make an escape like this worth the admission price. Open daily 5pm-4am.
Been there a few times, always have a great time. Good crowd, kind of euro-Mediterranean mix. Good DJ friday and saturday nights. Good place for appetizers and drinks. Really nice in spring/summer months when they open the outside bars, not overly crowded. (watch out for flying napkins! :)

I've been on kind of an off night. After work one night but the place is beautiful and the host was nice enough to show us around. We had a couple drinks went that bad and the price is reasonable.
