Chelsea Manor: Restaurant by early evening, lounge come nightfall and sports bar all the live-long day, Chelsea Manor is a venue with no clear identity but the best of intentions. The front reads like your typical lounge with leather ottomans and copper cocktail tables, but head past the bar to the back room, and it seems you’ve been transported to South Beach with the white leather banquettes and neon, illuminated seats. Instead of trying to make sense of the décor, which includes an impressively large chandelier and an unexpected number of flat-screen TVs, sit back and enjoy a specialty cocktail ($12-$14) like Cortney’s Peach (Bacardi Peach, lime, cranberry and pineapple) or the Delicious (Stoli Apple, champagne, sour and cranberry). Food options are similarly disjointed from a brisket burger to shrimp satay, but there’s surely something tasty for every...taste. The crowd tends to have deep pockets, but whether you’re lord or serf of the manor, 4pm brings happy hour to all— $4 draughts, $5 bottled beer, $6 well drinks.
