Chorus Karaoke Bar & Room
Are you the king of karaoke? The queen of soul? Need some practice before your “American Idol” audition? If you really want to prove your vocal prowess, then head to Koreatown with your fellow 20- and 30-somethings for the futuristically styled Chorus Karaoke. Metallic colors and accoutrements mix in the music room, which is lined with portholes featuring the mug shots—uh, portraits—of (some of) the greatest singers in history. (That’s in stark contrast to the motley crew of warblers who actually sing here.) Happy hour is 6pm-9pm, and may get you through your first set. It’s also here that you can share your talent with the world (the illuminated bar is nearby for liquid courage), or, if your act needs work, you can rent your own private room with personal cocktail waitress. Lastly, if you just can’t get that Indonesian or Vietnamese song out of your head, you’re in luck—Chorus offers song lists from these countries as well as the United States, China, and Japan.

Awesome Place for you to sing!!

I am a karaoke feen!!! I try going to karaoke atleast once a week. Out of all the karaoke’s I’ve been so far in my life, Chorus Karaoke has to be in my top 3 lists.
I believe first thing you notice when you get to Chorus is the nice dark karaoke ambience that I just adore. Sometimes when I come with few friends, we like to sit at the lounge and enjoy the bartenders company and sing songs in the lounge for only 2 dollar per song. The bartenders were always great to me and always hooked it up on the drinks.
The song selection at Chorus I would say has to be on top of their game. I had no problem finding any of the songs I like to sing.
When I come here with group of friends, we get top service from waiters by getting free food, free drinks so we can have a great time at the Karaoke.
I like to thank the management at Chorus for giving me a place where I can sing my heart out in peace!!!

Best Karaoke in whole New York City

This is my first experience at a Karaoke Bar. I was never interested in singing in front of group of people I did not know because I am very self conscience about my singing abilities. So when my co-workers decided to go on a happy hour in Korea-town they wanted to end the night off by going to Karaoke Bar. When we got to Chorus I was very nervous / scared because of my fear of singing however when I stepped into this Karaoke, I was totally not what I pictured a typical Karaoke to be. It was modern and everything looked very futuristic. My co-works and I were greeted by a friendly waiter that lead us to a private room right away. There were about 25 of us and I thought we were just going to be singing in a lobby like typical karaoke spots however this place had a room big enough to fit all of us and more. My co-worker told me finding a huge karaoke room like this in the city is next to impossible. I was quite impressed.

The song selection at this place was very good. All of us (Non-asians) had enough new and old songs to sing for days. We started off with some Bon Jovi and turned gangster by the night ended by singing some Jay-Z and Big Pun.

We also ordered 3 bottles of Patron and Johnny Black and the management decided to throw in free (Korean) food and fruit platter which was very nice of them.

I can say that at Chorus Karaoke, I have gotten rid of my singing fear and I can finally let my self go here. I would truly recommend this place to anyone who decided to goto Karaoke. Starting from the décor, management, song selection to service you get here is pretty awesome. Not to mention the price here. We ended up paying only like 30 dollars even with the hefty tip.

I've been to this place a couple times some time ago, and I agree with the comments below: BE FOREWARNED, THIS PLACE IS A TOTAL SCAM! Tammy, the manager/hostess whatever, defrauds you whenever she gets a chance.. She seems nice when you first enter the place, but by the time you're ready to leave, she turns into a total monster. This place seriously overcharges you and gets mean and nasty if you dispute the bill (which gives no indication of the specifics). STAY AWAY FROM CHORUS!!

I would have to agree with Diana. They set the whole place up like a scam from the begining. They put us in a smaller room and said that for the inconveniance we would get a bottle on the house. The rooms were all way too small. We only ordered 2 bottles. When we got the bill, it seemed really high. We asked for an itemized receipt but they never gave us one. They were charging us for 4 bottles is what they said verbaly!! They said "on the house" meant that they upgraded the type of bottle we got. We got exactly what we ordered. What is "on the house" supposed to mean? Also, we said we would not tip them, so instead of ringing us up on the normat restaurant system, she rings us up on some little pocket credit card machine with NO line for tip and NO line to enter the amount we want to pay. she FORCED us to sign for a $100 tip becuase there was no where to put in the amount and there was no itemization on the reciept. We never got an itemized receipt. This place is a TOTAL SCAM!!!

I booked the place for my birthday and we spoke to Tammy on 2 different occasions making sure everythgin was ok we told her we had TWENTY PEOPLE. she quoted us 120 for the room. when we gett here they put us in a room that fit about EIGHT PEOPLE and when we complained she said other people were spending more money so toooo bad!! then we were told we had to buy 3 sets WHICH MEANS 3 BOTTLES WHICH COST 250-300$ each ON TOP of the 120 per hour for the room. THEY COMPLETELY SCAMMED US, AND the bouncer asked us to pay him off if we wanted one of our friends to stay in the room. HALF of my party had to stand in the hallway b.c we did not fit in the room. We were completely SCAMMED and i would NEVER do it again.
