Operating at a point between hot and cool, Cielo simmers without boiling. A steady influx of international DJs run this house party, which is geared toward those who love to dance. There aren’t a lot of full-fledged dance floors in Manhattan these days, but Cielo has one and it’s a good one. There’s no parking on the busy sunken square that sits front and center under a huge disco ball, where it’s surrounded by banquettes. Eurotrash, Euro chic, spicy South Americans, and B&Ts all come here to strut their stuff under a Miami-inspired design where padded walls with lit inlays flash in time with the music. This isn’t a celebrity spot at all and the place couldn’t care less. Here, it’s all about the music, man.
I LOVE THIS PLACE....GREAT MUSIC, GREAT DJS EVERYTIME, AND GREAT PEOPLE. What can go wrong? You have to have an open mind and love to dance to appreciate the beauty of this place. People from all over, music of all kinds, this is a Schiek place!!!! VERY SCHIEK!!!
