Cienna: Walk by Cienna during the daytime and you might miss it; the exterior is that unassuming. The interior, however, is anything but. After being greeted by the friendly door staff (nice doormen?!), you'll make your way into what has got to be the most beautiful lounge space in Queens. We know, that's not saying a lot, but this space would make any Wall Street player or club veteran with a black credit card feel at home. Leather booths adorn each side, while young, attractive, mostly Greek partygoers have plenty of room to get their groove on. A large, lush curtain descends from the ceiling to separate the lounge from the dining space, which boasts its own bar and constantly changing LED lights to remind you that you are indeed dining in a club. The food is mediocre, with the Octapodi ($16) being a great exception. But come on, are you really here to eat anyway? Get down to business and grab one of their eight signature cocktails like the Cucumber Cooler ($12) or Ginger Margarita, then join the dancing crowd back in the lounge. After all, you're here to see and be seen—yeah we said it—in Queens. |
