The duo responsible for popular UES Italian restaurant, Sfoglia’s, has opened up their latest venture in Little Italy. Beneath vaulted ceilings and beautiful wine barrel chandeliers, the two-story-high Civetta serves—surprise—Italian food. The cozy lounge offers patrons a spot to relax with a glass of vino before, after, or instead of dinner. The menu features a wide array of entrees served in full or half-sized portions and patrons can enjoy a fresh, warm loaf of the popular “Sfoglia” bread (it’s developed somewhat of a cult following in recent years). Judging by the prices, the recession hasn’t impacted the owners. So if you’re planning on stopping by, come ready to eat a lot —and spend a lot.
