Comix:
When you see the word “comics” spelled with an X, you might think of paneled drawings of imaginative pornographic acts. For better or worse, that’s not what’s going on here. This sleek ha-ha hole plays host to a wide array of performers from Craig Ferguson to Janeane Garofalo, as well as hilarious up-and-comers you’ve never heard of...yet. A big bonus: the food is better than you expect from a comedy club, so that two item minimum is much less cumbersome if you come hungry. Plus, they’ve earned points with a décor that’s swanky enough to secure a spot in the Meatpacking District—an impressive feat for a laugh lounge in nightclub central.
This is a great place for groups of friends to hang out and get some great entertainment (my friends and I enjoyed the comedy styles of Gerald Kelly & Capone this past weekend).
The food is something to be desired--I guess my expectations were set high b/c of the decor and the professionalism of the staff.
My advice...eat before you arrive :-D

last night we went to see danny bonaduce for my friend's birthday party. there were 8 of us and it was a great time! they have a bar up front that you can grab a cocktail at before the show and then you can order whatever you want in the showroom. The food was delicious, i had the tuna and we got a couple pieces of the chocolate cake which was great, but should have come with milk. More importantly, the comics were super funny. lots of different material and danny bonaduce is such a character. He was even there after the show to say hi to everyone. all in all, this is a great place, especially for large groups.

Friday night, i saw caroline rhea there. She was awesome! the club was beautiful (although the entrance was a little confusing). And their food selection was surprisingly good. I'd definitely reccomend this place and I'll be back
