This cozy, 20ish-seat Italian wine bar/restaurant, with red furniture and a chandelier, is still big enough to have space between tables--so you don't have to make new friends if you don't want to. The East Village eatery specializes in platters of fresh-sliced cured meats (hence the name)--including duck prosciutto--cheeses with bread and olives, and small plates, including fondue and brie. European and South American wines are on hand, as well as a few bottled beers, although this isn't really the kind of place you'd come to for an office happy hour. (There's a reason most of the tables are two-tops.) Open Sun.-Thu. 11am-midnight; Fri.-Sat. 11am-2am.
