Despite what looks like an empty stretch of sidewalk in these far reaches of Williamsburg, Daddy’s is a hipster hotspot and an anchor on this up-and-coming avenue. It’s big, dark, and stocked with surly bartenders—in short, the quintessential New York neighborhood hangout. During the week the ample tables provide more than enough space to gather your friends, but watch out on the weekends as the tall, dark, and shaggy start to crowd the room and spill onto the street. There’s a stack of takeout menus at the bar, so instead of bar-hopping you can order a slice from down the street and do something you almost never do with your real parents—spend some time with Daddy.
