DeStefano's Steakhouse:
A B-Burg steakhouse that’s not Peter Luger’s—could it be? While the décor at DeStefano’s Steakhouse invokes the aura of steakhouses past, this is by no means an old man’s restaurant, especially once you look at the menu. Starters included short rib spring rolls and Japanese eggplant, and salads include a roasted beet tower and pear mixed with pancetta and arugula. Lamb chops are crusted in pistachios and the steak frites features a pomegranate sauce reduction. Enjoy a stiff martini from the list as you admire the classic pressed tin ceilings and that subtle ode to Brooklyn in the framed Saturday Night Fever and Red Skelton posters. So it might look it, but this isn’t your Dad’s steakhouse at all—he has no clue what a beet tower is. Do you?
Mr. Not Amused, I have eaten here 5 times and every time the food and service was perfect.....considering my wife is a CIA trained chef and agreed leads me to believe that you have no idea what your talking about. I would not give 5 stars due to selection of apps.... Boring??? its a steakhouse what do you want Luger's is great but when you don't want to feel like your being interrogated with lights eat here........

ehh, everything was ok. when i went there to eat i was all hyped up (with all the reviews and all) but much to my suprise, the rib eye was not to the temperature as so requested. i mean how hard is it to cook medium rare?? my waitress looked like shes on some serious drugs. but the owner is nice!! maybe he'll get by on his charm

I enjoyed a fabulous meal here with 3 friends. The service was attentive and professional. My hanger steak was incredibly tender and served EXACTLY the way I requested. My date marveled at his 4inch high buttery veal chop. All the salads were delicious, lightly caressed in dressing, nothing gloppy and heavy. Desert was an AMAZING ricotta cheese cake (lovingly made by the chef Arthur) and the espresso was served piping hot and creamy. The tables are very well spaced from each other....you never feel rushed or crammed. A great place
