Club-goers of Midtown unite! Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? If you’re looking to rage but have suffered one too many sprained ankles on the cobbly, wobbly streets of the MPD (we’re looking at you, Gansevoort), District36 is sure to please. D36 to those-in-the-know (you’re welcome), is aptly named for its location on 36th Street, but its name also signifies the beginning of a new breed of venue in the Midtown area. The space is large and the layout is straight-forward enough, boasting a roomy dance floor and an upper level that borders it, so if you opt for bottle service, you can relish in elbow-room while those below you bump and grind out of sheer necessity. Guest DJs make a cameo every weekend, but that’s not all that’s spinning. A shiny (read: blinding) disco ball takes center stage and is sure to stick in your memory even after one too many heavy-handed drinks.
