Doc Holliday's:
No pretension, nothing fancy—just come here to get rip-roaring drunk on cans of $2 PBRs. Reminiscent of the ambiance in Urban Cowboy, the license-plate décor and general country and western vibe have the NYU kids sloshing around with 2-for-1 drink specials. It’s a New York staple—almost a place that you love to hate, but are forced to visit at least once in Manhattan, if only to prove that you aren’t 100-percent yuppie. So go get ’em and saddle up for a bar that’s a little bit country, a little bit rock and roll, and a little bit Hogs & Heifers, as evidenced by the scantily clad bartenders dancing on the bar. The Doc falls a bit short, but what the hell, it’s still fun.
They no longer carry PBR's (but you can get Natty's) This is a fun place to go and the crowd varies depending on what night you go. The regulars and the staff are great people and make you want to return again and again.

tx lady...
would be a place I would go next time in NYC... what a bummer that trendy lounges are all you know NB... been there - done that - you need to get out more often and see what's REALLY going on...you are missing out on way too much...

Lets be honest, over-priced bucket beer, unappealing bartenders and crowded with folks who want to stand b/c they choose a dive bar over a trendy lounge. Not worth the trip, unless you're the type who needs to search online for a dive bar, in that case, you'll fit right in.
