Doghouse Saloon:
Further evidence that the artists have long since surrendered the L.E.S. to the jocks: the transformation of the Annex to the Doghouse. Of course, this might not have happened if the Annex hadn't been one of the worst music venues in the city, but we digress. The current tenant is something of a sports bar / arcade / dance club / beer pong haven, which means they sure can't be accused of, well, dogging it. Expect all you can guzzle specials during pretty much any major game, not to mention ten TVs to watch them on. Hell, even the slow nights have a shitck (think Margarita Mondays and Bikini Sundays). And where the Annex's upstairs was formerly a haven for CMJ badge-wearing shmucks, Doghousers enjoy a game room with classics like skee-ball and Big Buck Hunter. This place is even a doghouse in the culinary sense, as franks are served until 4 AM every night. Yes, it does make us a little sad that the LES is increasingly becoming a destination for the “Bud and Buck Hunter" set, but at least the Doghouse is a decent place to unleash your inner frat boy.
The owners of this bar are extremely irresponsible. When I went to check the place out it was EMPTY. They have no idea how to run this place. They ruined my party and I will never go there again.

Reasons why this place is a lose-lose:
* Bad Music * Unattractive Staff * Poor Ambience * Bad Lighting * Open & Stale
This place gave me absolutely no reason to ever come back. But I did for a friends birthday, and yet again. Disappointment.

Had my birthday party here and I was able to reserve the entire upstairs to myself for free. The staff took great care of us and gave us great specials. When the bar got crowded as it was a Saturday Night having upstairs was great.

i went there to watch a game and the tv are placed so retardedly that even though they have flat screens you end up watching the tiny 12 in. ones over the bar. and there were like three people in there. i like to cheer and talk about the games when i watch. there was no one to do that with. i went back again later in the week, and the beer prices went up which was the only reason i went in the first place. so as a sports bar it sucks. and as a party joint its empty i would go somewhere else if you want either.

Was here last weekend and had a great time. It was tons of fun with drinking games and good music. Didn't see any girls in bikinis which was great :)

I think having a place like this to watch a game is great. But the bikini idea is a little dumb/tacky. You want frat boys not old boozers to stare at ladies.

I think its great spot to watch games. The bikini girls might be taking it a bit to far though. That will bring in the wrong crowd and those girls might not have educations..
