East Village nomads roaming the streets in search a live band that didn't form in Brooklyn can cease their wanderings at newly revamped Drom Bar. The Turkish-styled Global Music venue got a three-month makeover, and a new crop of performers to boot. The eclectic show calendar goes from reggae to gypsy punk to Turkish Fasil…whatever that is…so make sure to check the listings unless you're really feeling adventurous. The less-exotic drink menu offers over a dozen cocktails that may sound standard—even a bit girlie—but contain alcohol levels that must be illegal somewhere in the world. Give that booze a good base of Turkish tapas, like Lamb Skewers with Cous Cous or Boiled Beef Dumplings with garlic yogurt ($14 each). You're a salsa girl who found yourself here on Hungarian Ska night? Stick to the front parlor, where velvet curtains surrounding dimly-lit couches set the stage for making your own music.
